Al Muhat Oasis

The Al Muhat Oasis lies over the ruins of a sacred places that belonged to the Shakri tribe many centuries ago. Over time the place became kind of a tribal trade post in Mershak wilderness. After the shift of borders of San Marco and Eram place became one of the unofficial border crossings, merchants from both San Marco and Eram meet here and trade their goods on local Market. Importance of the oasis lies also in the huge amount of water available from local arthesian well. Caravans need to stop here in order to replenish the water supply.

There are also some other sources of water in the area but they belong to various local tribes and are guarded very well not to be used by broad public. Having an water supply of drinkable water in this part of Mershak is a significant advantage and business source to any one who owns it.

People in the region focus mainly on herds of sheeps, ceramics trading and agriculture. Some people work as maintenance people for the local oil pipeline.

Because of a large supply of water in the oasis private research company called IRS ( Irrigation and Rehydration Systems) Had build its facility close by to oasis in order to perform some kind of new technology tests and research on local sources of underground water.

IRS facility has a one of the most modern laboratories with a big team of research specialists. The facility itself is guarded by a security agency called Omega Corp.

Omega Corp recruits mercenaries and soldiers of fortune for specific tasks mainly aiming on protection of highly important VIPs and objects which are required to support various IRS project. 

IRS itself is a private owned company which have been banned from few states already because of accusation of violating local laws. Few cases of human rights violating were issued towards IRS but non of them was successful. IRS is one of the companies which as are rumours saying working on various specific researches for unknown governments. IRS is together with their researches also supports local tribes in development of agriculture through few reconstruction projects.

Tribes in Mesrhak

Mershak people live in some kind of nomadic tribes, usually the tribe has an elder which is the main representative of its family. Tribes very often fight among each other over territory - but that is something like local folklore for centuries. Once in ten years the tribes gather together on one of the sacred places to held a so called the Meeting of the Elders.

This gathering is one of the most sacred culture happenings in Mershak. On this meeting tribes discuss the future for next ten years as well they discuss potential tribe migrations.
